Our Projects
MLA Producer Demonstration Site project "Growing Perennials in a Variable Climate"
We manage this project for the Gippsland Ag Group (GAgG.) It is a 6 year project funded by MLA, run by GAgG with collaboration from AgVic and involves a team of helpers from GAgG, Ag Vic and the participating producers.
The project commenced in 2020 and now has 18 small demonstration paddocks at the Gippsland Research Farm, 4 paddocks that were established on producer farms in the Wellington and East Gippsland shires and two more paddocks in preparation for planting in 2023.
Establishing and promoting best practice African Lovegrass control in East Gippsland
This project is funded by the Commonwealth Smart Farms Small Grants Round 4 and is managed by Herd Solutions for Tom's Creek Landcare
Currently there is a demonstration paddock at the Gippsland Research Farm that is demonstrating cropping, herbicide application and physical control methods together with differnt fertiliser regimes. These methods will be demonstrated on 6 satellite farms commencing at the end of 2022
